The Florida Police Benevolent Association put the House of Representatives on notice
today that it will oppose the proposed pay cuts in the budget.

During the House Full Appropriations Council on General Government & Health Care,
Florida PBA testified in opposition to the 4% in salary reductions for state law
enforcement, correctional and correctional probation officers contained in the House
budget proposal.

Now we need your help to drive this point home to the Legislature. Starting tomorrow,
Legislators will be back in their home districts for the Passover/Easter Break. Please
take the time to call and e-mail the Legislators in your area on the list below and express
your concern with this budget proposal. As always, be professional, but make your point
clear –
DO NOT CUT THE SALARIES AND POSITIONS OF PUBLIC SAFETY!
